08 Feb Tina Roush
My name is Tina Bailey Roush. I have spent the last 15 years alongside my husband, Johnny, living and traveling the USA in our motorhome. We love exploring new places, birdwatching, hiking, kayaking, volunteering and meeting new people. I love nature and am continually amazed by the beauty of all of God’s creation. Whether it be animals, flowers, or landscapes, I enjoy trying to capture that interest and beauty in my paintings. My style is Contemporary Impressionism. With the use of bold brushstrokes and bright color, I am able to bring movement and energy to my paintings. Acrylics are my favorite medium. My studio is small (the motorhome dining table), but my subjects are limitless.
My art journey began in high school under the instruction of a local art teacher. As life and family priorities intervened, my creativity was channeled into marriage, motherhood, and social work. In 2014, both opportunity and desire reignited my journey. Artist workshops, online instruction, creative groups, and “practice, practice, practice” have all been a part of my evolution as an artist.
